Vizor Software Named Data Services Provider 2019 by Central Banking Awards Committee

Financial supervision software provider honoured with a prestigious award for third consecutive year.

Vizor Software, the world leader in supervisory software for central banks and financial regulators, today announced that Central Banking has honoured the company with the ‘Data Services Provider 2019’ award.

The annual Central Banking awards recognise outstanding performance by individuals and organisations within the central banking community and are judged by a distinguished panel comprised of former senior central bankers from around the world, as well as the Central Banking Editorial Team and Editorial Advisory Board.

The ‘Data Services Provider’ is a new category in the 2019 awards and is bestowed to a market practitioner who has helped central bank clients meet the management of their data requirements in the areas of big data, monetary policy, financial stability and/or regulatory data using cloud-based or other solutions. Capacity and streamlining, structuring and usability, and platform robustness and security were key considerations for the judges.

“Vizor is delighted to be recognised again this year by the Central Banking Awards Committee,” commented Conor Crowley CEO of Vizor Software. “Winning the Data Services Award is a testimony to the success our customers have achieved with major supervision projects over the last year. These projects show the value of higher quality data and the significant cost savings achieved with the Vizor platform.”

The impact of new technology on supervision continues apace, but the good news for central banks and other financial supervisors is that there is a maturing SupTech market, offering product-based solutions. The increased availability of proven solutions reduces risk and cost for supervisors and makes new systems more widely available to all organisations both big and small.

“We continue to see supervisors look for more data, more quickly, commented Vizor’s Chief Innovation Officer, Joanne Horgan. “The major new product release from Vizor addressed this with a suite of self-service tools. However, many central banks still struggle with legacy supervisory systems which are difficult and expensive to change. Last year was very interesting as we saw some of the world’s leading financial supervisors come to the market, looking to completely overhaul their data collection platforms as a response to the pace of change in their supervision needs.”

The award will be officially presented to Vizor Software at the annual Central Banking Awards Gala to be held March 13th in London at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square.
